From the PTA President

Dear Clinton Parents and Guardians,

Hello! My name is Jess Murphy and I’m the Clinton PTA President for the 2017-2018 school year. I am truly honored to work with all of our amazing, dedicated, enthusiastic faculty members as well as with our hard-working, energetic and fun volunteers.

Whether you are new to Clinton or returning, it doesn’t take long to realize how lucky we are to be a part of such a great community. If you’ve had the pleasure of spending any time at our school, you know it’s a warm, caring place where kids thrive and grow.

What you may not know is that a lot of things your children will experience this year will be brought to them, in part, by the Clinton PTA. Because of your generosity we are able to provide our kids with exciting cultural arts activities and assemblies. We subsidize their field trips. We fund a garden educator and supplies to keep our school gardens in bloom (and our students’ thumbs green!). We provide every teacher with a stipend for classroom supplies and give agenda books to every student in the upper grades.

The PTA also hosts many activities throughout the school year. Even if you’ve never been to an event before, I encourage you to come to one this year. And it would be even better if you can find the time to volunteer at one of the events!

The Clinton PTA does so many wonderful things for our kids and our community, but none of it is possible without YOU! We always need volunteers and we rely on your donations to make it all happen. We hope that every adult member of your household will join the PTA. Of your $12 dues, about $5 goes to the national and state PTAs and the rest stays with us. We also run many fundraisers throughout the year. Every donation helps.

This year, we are providing you with two ways to let us know you want to be involved. One great way is to become a class parent. The second way to get involved is through this link:

This is a place where you can sign up for any and all activities you’d like to help us with! Our website has more information about what each event entails, and you can always contact a member of the PTA Executive Board for more information.

Thank you so much! I am so excited for all of the amazing things we have in store for you and your children!
