Halloween Parade and Trunk or Treat!

Posted October 29th, 2015 by PTA

Please join us for our Third Annual Halloween Parade and Trunk or Treat! Permission slips were went home in your child’s backpack this week. Please return them by Thursday, October 29th. For children who choose not to participate in this event, a snack and fun alternative activity will be provided either in the Auditorium or on the playground.

When: Friday, October 30 from 12:45p-2:10p

Where: Clinton’s Front Lawn and Halloween Alley!

If it rains, we’ll be in the cafeteria.

What do the Kids Do?

Kids will come to school dressed in their regular clothes, carrying their Halloween costumes. In the afternoon, they will change into their costumes and parade through the school, in front of the school, and down Halloween Alley (the parking lot), where they will trick-or-treat from cars decorated for the occasion.

When they are done, they will return to their classrooms and finish out the school day.

What do the Parents Do?

Parents are welcome to come to the school grounds (in costume, even!) and watch the parade. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and coffee or cider and enjoy watching the cutest kids in town parade by in their costumes! Note: Parents who are not volunteers for Trunk or Treat will not be allowed inside the building during this event.

Principal Search: Community Input Requested

Posted October 14th, 2015 by PTA

Clinton Families,

The Assistant Superintendent for Administration, Mr. Memoli, has reached out to the PTA to solicit feedback and input concerning the qualifications for the next principal for our school. Specifically, he would like to know what characteristics you think are necessary for the next principal, as well as suggested questions for the search committee to ask during interviews.

Please email your input to me, Andrea Beck, by Friday, October 16th. Liz Gordon and I will collate and organize the input, and provide it to Mr. Memoli and the search committee.

Mr. Memoli’s goal is to be ready to make a recommendation to the Board of Education at the November Board meeting, so that the new principal can start immediately following the Winter break. We will keep you posted as we learn more about the search.

Thank you,
Andrea Beck and Liz Gordon
