Winter Craft Fair/Volunteers Needed

Posted November 27th, 2012 by PTA

The Clinton PTA needs volunteers to help with the Winter Craft Fair which takes place at Clinton School on Saturday, December 8th from 11am-2pm in our school cafeteria. It is a really fun event and we hope some of you will be able to help us. On the day of the fair, we need some extra hands to show children how to make the crafts and help with supplies and organization.

Please email Leah Gomberg if you can help. Our craft fair is a great way to spend some quality time with your children and make some neat gifts for the holidays while supporting the Clinton PTA and its activities.

See the Winter Craft Fair flyer for more details about the craft fair.

Hurricane Sandy Donations/Parenting Center Toy Drive

Posted November 26th, 2012 by PTA

Dear Clinton Families:

As we all know, many communities not far from us were greatly impacted by Hurricane Sandy. In an effort to help families put their lives back together, Clinton School is collecting items for donation that will be given to the organization below along with several local collection efforts. A collection bin will be placed in our school’s main hallway. We hope you will give what you can.

PTAs of Seaside Park School District/Lavalette Elementary School: Families in these shore communities have lost and are rebuilding their homes, and students have been transferred to neighboring schools. Families are in need of basic items, and students are in need of supplies as they continue the year at new schools.

Needed:
-Spiral bound notebooks, folders, erasers, packs of pencils, boxes of crayons, new backpacks
-Toiletries (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, hygiene products)
-Infant/baby care items: boxes of diapers, baby wipes
-Cleaning supplies: sponges, spray cleaners, rubber gloves
-Kids penny collection: send in your pennies (in sealed Ziploc bags marked ‘PTA’), which the PTA will harvest to purchase supermarket gift cards

**NOTE: Clinton School’s food pantry is always collecting non-perishable food items that are given to families in need. Your food donations are always needed and appreciated.

Annual Parenting Center Toy Drive
Please see the Parenting Toy Drive flyer— donate new and unwrapped toys from November 28th through December 10th to Maplewood/South Orange children in need. A collection bin will be at Clinton School.

For any questions about these collection efforts, please contact Keli Tianga at 973-763-1942.

THANK YOU!
